Hi there – Erica, here! Wanted to tell you about my low brow find of the week…
I was out and about last Friday on my way to JuJu Spa for a mid-day pick me up service. I ended up arriving in Queen Village way ahead of schedule and decided just to walk around for a bit. Best decision I made all week! I stumbled upon the BEST vintage store.. Astro Vintage.

From the moment you step inside this ADORABLE boutique you are immediately greeted by the sweetest woman, Karin, the owner. Karin has the warmest personality… the kind where you want to talk with her over a long cup of coffee and discuss everything from fashion to travel to food. Her style is a blend of her two favorite decades 1940′s and 1950′s, full of personality with feminine touches – the result is one amazing outfit. Her store has plenty of character as well – a robin blue color covers the walls, perfectly spaced clothing hangs neatly, home decor intermixed with clothes and outwear, and a massive jewelery case holding some of the best gems!

My weakness is jewelry…I have a major addiction, I will admit it. I usually try and find pieces that make me want to know the story behind them or get them because they have a connection/memory for me. So I added to my collection of everyday pieces while at Astro Vintage! I got lost in the case and fell in love with two beautiful rings! The rings combined totaled $52…you just cannot beat that!

My beautiful new rings!!
Therefore I want the world to know that if you are looking for unique, beautiful, and inexpensive finds – go to Astro Vintage! The jewelry ranges in price from $10-$50. Stop by anytime (except Tuesday, the only day they are closed) 702 S. 5th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147 and explore the racks and shelves for some amazing and inexpensive items!

It’s that time again, when Red Balloon Public Relations grows our family of great businesses run by fantastic people. The latest addition to our team is Dollface Studio. This is by far one the most original photography studios to make their mark in Philadelphia. Dollface specializes in Boudoir style photography. Think beautiful women dolled up in flawless makeup, dripping with pearls and ultra feminine lingerie.
Darah and Siobhan, co-owners of DollFace Studio created Dollface Boudoir as an outlet for women to showcase how sexy and glamorous they are in their own skin and they make it so easy to celebrate the beautiful woman inside of each of their subjects. Women walk out of their studio with an extra jolt of confidence, whether the photos are for their eyes only, or to gift to the husb.
Here is some Dollface eye candy just for you…

I’ll be going in for a boudoir photo shoot of my own sometime soon. Wondering if you’d feel comfortable decked in extravagant lingerie in front of the camera? Have no doubt these ladies are super chill and help you relax as soon as you arrive. We’ll be enhancing the Dollface brand over the next few months and sharing more about Darah and Siobhan, so stay tuned.
Stop by their fabulous studio in Northern Liberties: 737 N. 4th St. First Floor Philadelphia, Pa 19123 or call 215.684.2970 to set up an appointment for a consultation.

Hi everyone! My name is Erica, I am the latest addition to the lovely Red Balloon PR family and I could not be more excited!

Let me introduce you myself…I am originally from West Chester, PA and have been moving around ever since my high school graduation. Having wanted to spread my wings after high school I ventured out West to sunny California (I am really starting to miss that sun and warmth right about now) to go to The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, aka FIDM. When I finished there I took my degree in Fashion Merchandise Marketing back to the East Coast for various fabulous fashion internships in New York City. Having dibbled and dabbled in the fashion industry, I realized I needed another degree to enhance my future. So after some searching, visiting, and lengthy discussions with my parents I ended up at Temple University studying Communications. Now I am here interning for Nicole and learning the ins and outs of her fantastic boutique public relations agency.
I am a vegetarian and I enjoy baking and cooking healthful yummy treats! In addition to cooking I love to decorate the entertaining space so everyone enjoys a beautiful visual layout as well as a delicious meal. With this being said one of my favorite blogs to visit is…… The Martha Stewart Blog I go there for everything from recipe ideas to table settings!
My second love affair other than home decor and good food is fashion. My style is very mixed – I dress for my mood: boho, prep, downtown, uptown, relaxed…and the list goes on. Besides finding incredible clothes and getting beyond excited to wear them out, I get equally ecstatic about a phenomenal deal on amazing clothes. Which is why I visit….The Outnet. If you haven’t been on the site or heard about it – GO! It has the top designer pieces that were sold on its mother site…Net-A-Porter for an outrageous discount. Example I bought the most beautiful, wonderful, comfortable Michael Kors Wedges on The Outnet for $89, orginally $350 – you CANNOT beat that! After I stalk these sites daily, I frequently check The Cut – fashion section of new york magazine. Think of this site as WWD meets PerezHilton – it offers snapshots of what’s going on in fashion and entertainment.
Lastly, I love looking at beautiful photos – if you do too go to Katie’s Pencil Box and This is Glamourous. Both ladies offer lovely, airy, and gorgeous photographs of everything from food to fashion to vacation destinations.
Well I hope you enjoy the sites! What you have to look forward to are..my future posts about things I like and high/low brow finds…stay tuned
